About our Ministry
Our goal is that every student is reaching out to their unchurched friends, connected in a small group, developing spiritual habits on their own and involved in ministry.
Current Ministry Teams
Worship Team:
Band: Uses their musical ability to lead worship with voice or instrument during student services. Monthly accountability report must be turned in or student will not get to play until it is turned in. Hours required: 2 hrs a week, including practicing music at home for 1 hr. Requires a weekly practice session as well as arriving early before scheduled services.
Letter Writing Ministry
Students will be connected with an elderly person from our church body. It is necessary for you to put a full 100% effort to obtain the relationship between you and your elders. To do this, we will provide you with an outline to help you along with your letter writing skills and thus putting you on the road to success.
F.A.I.T.H. Team:
Student learns the F.A.I.T.H. outline and shares with other students on F.A.I.T.H. visits. Hours required: 4 hrs a week for 14 weeks. Home study 30 min. Class time 30 min. Visitation 2 hr. each Monday evening. Sunday School class 1 hr.
Student Leadership Team:
Students who desire to be the spiritual leaders of the youth ministry as a whole. Students will help with creative ideas and implementation of our weekly and monthly activities. Students will brainstorm topics, plan activities, and create special events based on the principles of our purpose statement. Accountability report required monthly. Hours required: 2 hrs a week. Must regularly attend Sunday School and Wednesday night student activities. Meet once a month for 2 hrs.
Student Mission Team:
Students who help plan and implement mission projects. Includes contacting mission agencies, scheduling dates, recruiting students and adults, organizing and delegating details, facilitating training, and serving on projects. Hours required: 1 hr. a week.
Technical Team:
Sound Board: Operates sound board for Wednesday student services and band practices.
Computer Operator: Programs computer song lyrics and announcements. Operates computer during services.
Web Page Designer: Updates web page weekly with announcements and pictures.
Video: Creates spiritual and funny videos to use in youth services.
Still Photos: Takes digital photos of activities and students for web page and computer archives.
Hours required: 1 hr. a week.
Prayer Ministry:
Meets weekly to pray for students, leadership, programming and upcoming events. Hours required: 1hr. a week, 30 min. as a team and 30 min. personally.
